In March, 2020 when the Covid-19 crisis was spreading through Italy and France, the first images we saw on the news were Health workers gowned in Blue, Pink, Yellow and Green complete with face masks, gloves and shields. The lack of PPE’s ( Personal Protective Equipment) became a global crisis and we worried for them and their patients. There was nothing for us to do but to stay home and stay safe. Some small paintings came out of those first images. Visual Artists need to self isolate in order to get their work done but we also like to get feedback and feel like our work is contributing to society. During the past few months it has been rewarding to complete some large painting commissions as well as the Sixty Women Portrait Gallery now posted on the website. The doors are again open at White Gables at Hope River and we hope you will stop by. If the Island is out of reach this year, please send us your good wishes!
